Hello SJSU Advising Community,
As you know, SJSU has admitted an unprecedented number of Fall 2010 Undeclared transfer students. With over 1000 of new transfer Undeclared students, the Advising Council is working on a number of initiatives to help them choose a major as soon as possible. One of these initiatives is the Undeclared Transfer Advising Expo, which will take place on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 11am-1pm in Engineering 285/7. Much like the Sophomore Advising Expo in Spring 2010, the Advising Council has invited representatives from the various majors to staff tables while discussing major and co-curricular information with students. Students will receive advice and guidance in choosing a major, and free lunch will be available to them.
If you are in contact with any Undeclared Transfer students, please strongly encourage them to attend this event. These students will receive event announcements in their MySJSU accounts, but your personal encouragement for them to attend will have a major impact on their decisions to take advantage of this opportunity. We ask for your support in encouraging students to attend.
DATE: Thursday, October 14, 2010
TIME: 11am-1pm
LOCATION: Engineering Building room 285
Kind Regards,
The Advising Council
