NEW Advisor Information Session Added!

NEW ADVISOR INFORMATION SESSION ADDED!

Due to the overwhelming response from advisors wanting to attend an Advisor Information Session on Monday, November 8th, a second session has been added. In this session, Dr. Branz will present the same content as during the first session. Again, this information will pertain primarily to undergraduate advising. The second session will take place on Thursday, November 18, 2010. Refreshments will be available from 9:00-9:30am in the lobby area of Engineering 189 (food is prohibited inside of Engineering 189), and the presentation/discussion will take place from 9:30-10:30am with time afterward for questions.

In this session, Dr. Steve Branz, Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies, will:

· Discuss changes to academic probation, disqualification, and reinstatement policies/procedures; University Policy S10-6 at www.sjsu.edu/senate/S10-6.htm

· Review policy related to Incomplete grades, including the new requirement for "Incomplete Contracts" in order to record an "I" grade; University Policy S09-7 (Section I.B.) www.sjsu.edu/senate/S09-7.htm

· Discuss Change of Major criteria for impacted and non-impacted majors
